About Me

Hi! I’m Shelly — and I’m so glad you’re here!
I’m a Registered Dietitian  and a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) with over 16 years of experience supporting people with Type 2 diabetes, Type 1 diabetes, Gestational Diabetes, prediabetes, insulin resistance, blood sugar management, and weight loss.
I’ve spent my career working in endocrinology clinics, family practice offices, and hospital settings, helping people navigate everything from newly diagnosed diabetes to long-term A1C management. Over the years, I realized something important: people don’t just need information — they need time, support, and a real human connection. That’s why I started my private practice here in Tarrant County, serving clients across Tarrant County, Denton County and throughout Texas.
I wanted the freedom to slow down, listen fully, and create personalized resources without rushing through appointments. My goal is to make nutrition feel practical, doable, and realistic, especially for people juggling busy schedules, families, and chronic conditions.
As a mom of two, I understand how quickly nutrition can fall to the bottom of the priority list. Life gets busy, and sometimes you just need someone who gets it — someone who can help you build habits that fit your real life, not a perfect one.
I take a kind, compassionate, and analytical approach — helping you understand what’s really going on with your blood sugar, habits, and relationship with food, while making sure you never feel judged or alone.
If you’re looking for support with diabetes, weight loss, or simply feeling more confident and capable with food, I’d love to walk alongside you.
